The African Women’s Orchestra, in partnership with the Permanent Presidential Music Commission and supported by S’Cool Sounds Kenya, invites you to a dynamic orchestra workshop on Saturday, 10th January 2026. This inspiring session will feature acclaimed international artists Nancy Jo Snider, a distinguished cellist, educator, and Director of the Applied Music Program at American University in Washington, D.C., and Nina Stern, a renowned recorder player and clarinetist and faculty member at The Juilliard School. With extensive global performance and teaching experience, both artists bring a rich blend of classical excellence and community-centered music education, having worked with ensembles such as Opera Lafayette, the New York Philharmonic, and the Metropolitan Opera, and led impactful programs across the United States, Europe, and Africa. Their continued engagement in Kenya through S’Cool Sounds highlights a shared commitment to nurturing young talent and expanding access to high-quality music education, making this workshop a unique opportunity for musicians to learn, collaborate, and be inspired.
